SONRise Service

Today instead of a normal church service, we went to the 13th Annual SONRise service at the Collegedale Church in association with Southern Adventist University.

They started us in the sanctuary with a 'modern' day tale, then 'time-warped' us back to Jerusalem in Bible times. We got to 'walk-thru' the city with all the shops and stuff.





The girls got a chance to pet a donkey, a baby camel, a cow, a llama and see some goats and sheep.
















It was nice because we walked all over campus and got to see it's beauty. Here, Joelle and Natalie are watching 'Jesus' in the Garden of Gethsemane.









Larry, Sandra, Doreen and Natalie are sitting on the sidewalk behind the gym as we witness the scene on Golgotha.

















Here is the scene of Jesus and the two thieves on the cross. Then we went into the gym for the resurrection! What a very powerful portrayal of what Christ did for us!
