Last weekend was a big dental exhibition in Atlanta, GA they have every year.
Doreen could have gone as a student, but since it wasn't required and as a Dental Hygientist, she'll probably need to go in the future - she decided to pass on this one.
Well - turns out it was a good thing.
A half a dozen of her classmates and a couple of instructors were there and we got a scary e-mail Sat afternoon.
Her collegues who'd gone down were right in the middle of the area that got hit with the tornado. They could feel the hotel swaying and shaking. Windows in the convention center were blown in. Chairs and stuff were strewn everywhere - including outside, they spent the rest of the night huddled in a stairwell.
Ooofff. That must have been an awful experience!
Sure glad Doreen passed this one up!!!
