Refrigerator on the Fritz

Well, what a day yesterday was. We began packing up everything at work. It was complete chaos at the office and I've got a feeling today's not going to be much different. In fact - it may be a bit worse. It's a great way to get rid of a bunch of 'junk' that's just been hanging around - old, OLD brochures etc.

Anyway I got home from work and we headed to Maryville to play at the play-place in the mall, run some errands and do our grocery shopping.

We got home, put the grocerys in the house and then put the girls in bed. We loaded the food in the frig/freezer - and just as we finished we saw a puddle of water on the floor under the frig. So I pulled the inside of the freezer door off and saw layers of ice that were inside there and melting. (Yesterday was unusally warm for winter 74+ degrees.) A couple of months ago our ice maker broke and and leaked - so I figure that's how the water got in there and froze, then the warm weather came and it melted and puddled.

So I chipped off all the ice and put the door back together and saw a problem with the seal - which may have been part of the problem as well, then plugged the frig back in and then, THEN the real problem hit... it was sounding VERY funny, and running intermittantly. Ohhh - BAD NEWS. We loaded up all our food and ran it over to my inlaws house and into their refrig. We're glad they're on the road and didn't have much in there so we had plenty of room to stuff our junk.

Gonna call the 'guy' to come fix it today. Hopefully it'll be a quick switch of the 'motor' and it'll be up and running again.

What a day! :)
