Thursday in Denver University Hospital - DUH? Waa ha, ha, ha!

Yeah - ok - they have some different initials for it. Just don't remember what they are! Oh well. I needed something to chuckle about!

They people in this place are far from DUH! They're pretty sharp, getting things figured out.

A new day begins, full of hope.

Dad did great last night. I only remember 2 alarms coming from the machines he's hooked up too pumping stuff into him and checking his vitals constantly. One of them was an alarm that one of his drugs ran out.

Another hopeful sign is that his dependency on the vent has decreased. His PEEP number through the night has gone from an 8 to a 5. That's how much pressure is required to push air into his lungs. The Dr told me they'd like to see it at 4 before they try to take out the tubes.

She was just in and they're gonna do a couple more tests today and maybe get that puppy pulled outta there!!!

More to come...
