Calling In All Our Notes

So Friday was a nutty day talking with a real estate agent, lawyer and the buyer of our Illinois Property. Turns out that our closing for our Vonore, TN property is going to happen this coming Tuesday. Because the newness of my job - I can't be guaranteed - yet - to be here to sign the papers - so they're going to send us the closing papers, I'm going to sign them and if I can't be home for the signing Doreen'll take the papers with her - sign them there and get our money. YES!!!

Then the guy that we've been holding the 'note' on the property in Illinois called and wants to pay off early. So we called the lawyer in Illinois and he's getting the paperwork started and once he gets that done, we'll take a quickie trip up to Illinois (6 hours) and sign the paperwork and get a check. Woooo hooooo!

Now we get started on getting things together to get financing and permits and material to get 'our' house built.

Talk about an early Christmas. Awesome! Just what we needed!

Sometimes it just all falls together. Unfortunately it more often rains and pours!

Glad to hear of your recent good fortune! Good for you!!! I hear stories like this all the time. Unfortunately it NEVER seems to work out for us that way. Our entire marriage has been one stroke of bad luck after another financially, despite our best efforts to be good stewards. So I'll just keep being happy for everyone else I guess...
