The Kinda Weekend I Needed

Man, this was an awesome weekend! This was the kinda weekend I desperately needed, and the best part of it was, it was pretty much exclusively time with family!

Friday I got home, and spent 15 min inside, then stepped back in the car for another hour drive to some friends for a nice get-together for us to worship.

Sabbath morning we slept in - as much as the girls would let us. They jumped in bed with us and it's gettin' to the point where all four of us can't fit anymore! :)

We ate a leisurely breakfast, then jumped in the car and out to some ancient Cherokee burial grounds and had a nice walk, enjoyed a beautiful morning, did a geocache and just loved our time together.

I happend to find what I thought was a dollar on the ground, and it turned out to be $81 dollars, two credit cards and a drivers licence in a money clip. So on the way out we called info, got the guys number and left a message on his machine. He called an hour later and came to pick up his things. Very thankful we had it for him! I know I woulda been! :)

My in-laws are home and we had a delicious lunch together. Then we ALL snoozed for a while, then up and got together with my in-laws and went to the park and for a nice walk, again, and more quality family time. Then home for a lite dinner of strawberries (Natalie likes to call them strawberry shortcake) and popcorn.

After the girls went to bed, we watched "Mona Lisa Smiles." It was an ok movie. Not one I'd ever be interested in watching again though.

Then to bed for the rest of us.

Sunday had us up early, and an early breakfast, then packing the Uhaul with garage stuff and other things to clear up my inlaws home a bit so it'll show better to potential buyers. Then we-hauled it to Collegedale and unloaded it in the storage unit. Then over to the property and we had to move 3 stacks of lumber to a different location, out of the way of where the excavator will need to be working soon.

Home, after it was all done - quick 30 minute nap on the floor then up to Taco Bell for dinner, then to McD's for some time for the girls in the playplace to work out some wiggles they had stored up. We then stopped at Sonic on the way home for a ice-cream treat, then to home baths, worship and to bed for the girls.

We just finished watching our favorite show of all times, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

A few minutes to blog - then a quick prep of a lunch for tomorrow, then off to bed for a sound night of sleep, peaceful from the knowledge of a blessed weekend!

Have a good week y'all!!!
