With SOOOO much going on lately - I've not been blogging nearly as much as I'd like to. And since I've been so busy, Doreen's been extremely busy taking care of EVERYTHING around the house - stuff that I typically take care of - that she hasn't even had a chance to 'guest' blog for me a couple of the following stories. Hope you enjoy these.
Doreen and the girls were next door at her folks one morning talking with her parents and the girls were in the back room playing nicely. (Now the reason the toys were in the back room and not in the living room like ususal is because the Otto's have listed their house with a realtor and so to keep it looking clean - the toys have been banished from the hearth to the back room.) Sandra happens to have a small sewing desk in that room as well. So eventually Natalie comes out with a 'lock' of her hair in her hand. So Doreen's trying to figure out if Joelle pulled it out, or if it just fell out etc. Natalie kept saying, "Put it back, Joelle cut, put it back, Joelle cut." Then they figure out that Joelle swipped a pair of sissors out of that desk and snipped a lock of Natalie's hair. He, he, he! Needless to say - Joelle was corrected and encouraged 'strongly' never to do that again! :)
One afternoon the Pester clan decided to go for a swim. Doreen made it a 'play' day inviting two other families and kids to join us. We had a LOT of fun swimming, playing and talking etc. Some of the kids got up on the 'starting blocks' and were jumping off 'em. Well Natalie wanted to try it - so she climbed up. (It's only about 2 or 3 feet off the water.) She was a bit hesitant at first, then jumped and came up out of the water laughing. She wanted to do it again - so she clambored up and immediately jumped. It was cute to watch. Then she wanted to jump of each of the small platforms along the edge of the pool and promptly did so - all 8 or 10. (However many there are! GRIN)
This morning I went to work at the "Vonore" office for a few hours to get some important stuff done. (Since we're still not moved yet, we still have an office in both locations.) Then I came home, picked up my family and we headed to the church to meet with 3 other guys to finish fine tuning of the dish and a couple of other things that need to happen to get our radio station finished. We got it all done, and now we've only got 3 small things to purchase to finalize stuff - but we are on the air and hooked up with the Satellite Radio Network I work for. Praise the Lord, we've got the hard stuff done.
Anyway, while we're there, Doreen walks into the studio with a funny grin on her face and then tells me this story. Joelle walked up to her and said, "Mommy, I went tinkle." Doreen thinks she means she had an accident in her panties, but they're bone dry. She looks around the corner of the van and Natalie has her pants around her ankles squating saying, "Mommy, I went tinkle." Doreen knows that Natalie didn't have to go because just 5 minutes before, Natalie went on a regular potty. Then right next to where Natalie is, Doreen spies a little 'puddle.' Then it comes together - Joelle did go tinkle. You see, last Sabbath on our walk - we were 10 min from the van Joelle told us she had to tinkle - so Doreen, since no one else was around, helped Joelle go potty in the woods. So after this episode, after we both had a big laugh - we had to tell Joelle - that's for emergency purposes only. When a potty is around then we use it! He, he, he!
Well - I better wrap up and get to bed. I need the time to relax cuz I'm so incredibly SORE - ALL OVER - from all the work yesterday! I've been doing a LOT of manual labor recently, but yesterday was way over the top!!! :) I'm gettin' older and it'ts taking longer to recover.
By the way, we've got Our House listed - please pray it'll sell quickly, VERY QUICKLY! :)
Have a blessed weekend!
