So here's the emergency we had.
A team had taken a truck up to MI and started unloading. They got the first door off and moved to number two. 70 cases into door two they saw an infestation of these little 6 legged critters. They opened another door on the trailer and saw these little buggers hauling their 'eggs' around.
INFESTATION!
They were in the cases, in the cartons in the cases, in the product, in the cartons in the cases.
So they loaded all the cases from the 2nd door back into the trailer and checked the cases in door #1, all clean. No bugs!
So they needed someone to drop everything and meet these guys with a new trailer loaded with new cakes. I accepted the mission.
Left out at 8p, got to our fuel stop in Walton, KY at 1am, swapped trailers and unloading equipment, grabbed a cup of java and headed back south.
Got to London, KY and was so tired. Stopped in at the weigh station and slept for 2 hours and got back to the yard at 8:30am. Had 30 min of driving time to 'legally' log to spare.
Don't want to many emergencies like that!!!
Crisis averted though! :)
