The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more emotional than logical, more concerned about others than concerned about self, more religious than atheist, more loner than dependent, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more cynical than idealist, more follower than leader, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are religious (73%), romantic (71%), intellectual (67%).

Stereotypes
Young Professional70%
Prep62%
College Student45%

Life Experience
Sex25%
Substances0%
Travel38%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Libertarian, whom you agree with around 91% of the time.
  Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Middle Class. You make more than 88% of those who have taken this test, and 13% more than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 52%, hotter than 22% of other test takers.

Little Truckers

Comin' back from a trip, by myself, I called Doreen and she brought the girls out cuz they were wantin' to see inside the truck. They were most curious about the bunks.

Of course Joelle was excited about sitting in the driver seat and and HAD to push the horn. Precious.

Natalie had to be encouraged to sit up there and didn't want to honk the horn. She's extremely cute there though!

I had to get Doreen to grab a photo of me in the drivers seat that I spend a LOT of time in!

One final shot of the girls hanging out in the upper bunk.

Ge'tarin!

For worship one night, Doreen got her guitar out for us to sing some songs, which we all enjoy! Well the girls got theirs out too, and whoa, what a sound! Hope it sounded like praise! :)

Joelle's guitar was outta tune, so Doreen did some double'pickin to tune 'er up! CUTE!

Arsy Fatsy

Had some time on a recent trip to take a few photos. Photos for the fun of it!

Electronic gear. The little box on top is my Sirius satellite radio. Love that thing. Music and talk radio anywhere.

One hand on the wheel the other on the camera. Took me three shots to get this right. Even though you can't see it, the truck has 527,000+ miles. Its a good one though.

This one is my favorite though, save the best for last. Got in some construction traffic - and to save being annoyed, snapped a photo or two.

Visiting Family

One thing we did was to take the girls to meet Papaw, my grandfather. Now before some of you FREAK out, I still believe that he's sleeping until Jesus comes. They were just curious as to who Bub's husband was. So we showed them some pics and took them to his gravesite.

I've actually been thinking about my Papaw a lot lately. On his birthday this year, I was driving the truck to somewhere and I had a lot of time to reminice about my life with my Papaw and how he influenced my life.

He was a great guy!

Texas Visit Highlight Pics

Before the Family Reunion, we had 2 days visiting with my Grandma, Bub, in Texas. I lived with here for 4 years while going to college, so it's always good to get back.

One of the things we did one day was to do some geocaching! AWESOME!

Natalie brought her little computer and Bub was helping her figure out the answers! CUTE!

We spent some time catching up on friends while we were there! John & Helen were teachers at a school I went to. They became friends of my folks, and later - our friends too! Had a great dinner catching up with them - the food was only OK, but the company was awesome!

One of Joelle's wishes is to have an awsome climbing tree in our yard. Unfortunatly, by the time one grows, she'll probably be over it! But Bub's yard had an awesome one, and Joelle took to it like a little monkey and Natalie enjoyed it as well!

Finally, here's my littlest spending some time with my DS. She LOVES bowling on it, Joelle loves Mario Kart - I enjoy them all!! :)

Movie Stuff

A while back, Doreen and I were on NetFlix. It was cool having movies delievered to our home and I really, REALLY liked being able to rate movies and make a list of movies I want to see for future reference.

The problem was/is that Doreen's in school and I have a strange work schedule so we had a challenge finding the time to watch the movies together. So we dropped it.

I'd been using IMDB.com (Internet Movie DataBase) to check into movies, watch trailers etc. Well, recently I found where I can start 'saving' the movies I want to watch in the future on a list. Then I found where I can 'rate' movies I've seen. Coolness. Now I've figured out how to share them publicly so if you're interested in see how I rated a movie we've seen, just follow this link ThePesters Movie Rankings or check the link on the bottom right of the column to the right for future reference!

AWESOME!

4 Generations

I was just looking through the 'old' family pics trying to decide which to post and saw this one. My Grandma, Bub, has this up on her refrigerator in TX. It is a cute one, I just wish we would have 'updated' this photo, just for fun, at the family reunion. Doh!

Nelle, Steve, Jerilyn, Joelle - 4 generations of Myers! :)

This was a No-Brainer!! :)

Which 80's cartoon character are you?

Garfield
Garfield
You're all about eating whatever you can get your hands on and you don't care about gaining weight. Hey, you only live once! You march to the beat of your own drum and don't care if people like you or not. You like yourself and realize that's all that matters anyway. You're a bit mischevious but who cares? You've got plenty of admirers!

Catchin Up or 2027 Miles

Boy, do I have a TON of catching up to do. A TON!

Before we took our week of vacation, I ran 3 trips, we attended a 3 day family seminar and got stuff ready for our trip. No time to blog! :(

So I better do it now. :) Just so I don't forget!

---The 3 day family seminar was called "Love and Logic." Basically it was a course to teach us how to teach a parenting course using the Love and Logic Model. Of course we 'gleaned' some great info for us and hope it helps us in raising our children. I was dreading it because ALL we had to do before leaving for TX/OK, but it was really, REALLY good. The time in the meetings just flew. Doreen and I did great in learning what we need to do to raise infants, then we just stopped learning and I think at least I've fallen behind and am trying to catch up and get back ahead of my girls in being a good parent and not an evil dictator. So, this course helped and I hope it will help as we eventually present this program to other families in our church.

---Vacation, came, was enjoyed, and now is OVER - booo hooooo hooooooo!

We actually intended to leave on Monday and stop by and visit our friends Karl & Sharon in Marshall, AR. Unfortunatly my trip schedule at the bakery foiled that plan. So we left Tuesday and drove ALL the way to Alvarado, TX (Just S of Ft Worth). 854 miles. Whoooie. Boy we crashed that night, but only after the girls got some wiggles out and we had a good chance to visit with Bubbie.

Wed, we did some geocaching (found 7) and visited the College that Doreen and I graduated from and saw some of the new buildings they've put up. Very nice. Boy that area has changed a LOT!!

Once it got hot, we headed home and hung out with my grandma and then went to dinner with John & Helen B. A former Academy teacher/sponsor of my class and now a friend.

Thursday, it rained most of the day. We ran a couple of errands and what-not but not to much else. That evening we took the kiddos to a McD's playplace so they could burn some energy. Then to Braums for some EXCELLENT ice cream.

Friday, after a few errands, chores and packing we headed to Ardmore, OK for a family reunion at Lake Murray State park.

We had a great, yet soggy, time. It rained almost the entire weekend. In fact 3 Aunts went for a walk at one point when the rain let up, and not 5 minutes after leaving, DOWNPOUR. They came back soaked.

We all had a great time talking, laughing, reminiciing and just doing stuff everyone does at a family reunion. (I'll post a few pics later.)

Oh yeah, let me introduce the couple in the picture to ya. Harry and Anna Myers, my Great grandparents. They're the instigators for the 'branch' of the family tree that includes me! :)

By the time we drove to Texas, Oklahoma, then back down through Texas into LA, MS, AL & GA before getting home, we went 2027 miles. What a trip.

Ok - that's got us up to today, in a nutshell!!!

Have a great weekend. I don't have to work Sat night - so I'm gonna! :)

Later!

Truck in a Building

After getting back on Tuesday night from our vacation to Oklahoma for our family reunion, I had to leave early, EARLY Wednesday morning for a trip to the north east. It's a pretty famous city that Frank Sinatra sang about. I actually had to go deep into one of the burgs of this city. And when I say 'downtown' I mean downtown. Of course, the directions were completely screwy and we 'wandered' around a bit to finally find our way.

But the warehouse where we delivered to, I actually had to back into the building. Never done that with my current job before. It was actually very cool. A bit nerve-wracking to begin with, but we made it!!!

Thought you'd enjoy this pic!

4 Eyes!

At Joelle's most recent well-child checkup, the Dr noticed that she's not seeing things as well as she should be. So we had to take her into an eye dr for a more thorough checkup.

Well turns out that she does have an astigmatism that doesn't let her see as clearly as she should. I guess it's good to catch now so as they develop they're eyes get used to seeing things in focus.

So, Joelle will now be wearing glasses. These aren't the actual ones she got, they're somewhat the same shape - but a bit different. I'll post a pic when she gets them this next week!

Misc Pics

Here's just some misc pics y'all might enjoy! Here we've got a group of Hip Chicks! Joelle, Rebekah and Natalie's futures are so bright, they gotta wear shades! :)

Our friend Jody brought a baby Kid to church for all the 'bigger kids' to see. My Kids loved that kid! :)

Here's an obligatory Artsy Fartsy pic as required by My Brother-In-Law. Gotta include one every now and then! :) Actually took this photo driving along some of the back roads of Virgina while at work one morning.

Investiture

A few weeks ago we had an investiture service for our Adventurers. I can't hardly believe Joelle's been an Adventurer for 2 years now. Wow time flies. These kids did a LOT of work to get all these honors this past year.

Natalie finished her first year as a Little Lamb and will move on to be an Eager Beaver this next year.

Joelle has now taken the next step from Eager Beaver to become a Busy Bee. Amazing.

It is good to be home. Got home around 7ish and while we enjoyed our time out and about, there's no place like home!!! :)

Chattanooga or Bust

So tonight we're in a motel in Monroe, LA. We're on our way home from a "soggy" family reunion in Ardmore, OK. We had 30 some-odd people there to all catch up on each other's lives etc. It was great, except for the 'soggyness'. :) I'll update that more later!

Anyway, we'll be home tomorrow night. Gonna do some geocaching on the way. Yeah hoo!!!

Not Quite the Garden of Eden, but It'll Do!

A friend recently was asking me if we had a 'garden' this year. My answer was yes and no. We do not have a traditional garden. I am not a man with a green thumb or the wisdom to grow a normal garden. All the ones I've done that way have been lacking.

I did have a friend once who taught me to 'garden' this way in 55 gallon drums cut in half, filled with dirt, mulch, manure and a bit of fertilizer. We've done this going on 3 years now and things have worked quite nicely actually.

This year we've got 6 containers with Green Pepper, Cucumbers, 2 regular tomatos and 2 roma tomato plants.

Um, um good. Can't wait for veggies to start growin.

No Freakin Way!!!

You have GOT to be freakin kidding me right? Oh this just sucks! This is a HUGE rip off and it THOROUGHLY ticks me off.

Man, I really, REALLY wish there was some way to see these Gas company execs get their come-up-ins!! They deserve it!

Morons!!!

Hair Trimmin'

I've got three 'beauticians' living in my house now! Doreen learned how to 'cut' my hair recently and has been doing an awesome job at it.

The most recent time she cut my hair, the girls asked if they could help. Sure, it's a very, ultra, basic cut. So when we started, the got to go first. Each of them took a turn cutting my hair.

Joelle was having a BALL with it. Natalie, not so much. The vibrating of the clipper kinda bugged her - but she was a trooper and tried.

It was all very cute, and I got a pretty good cut too! :)

Boat Buildin'

Between trips this week, the girls were over at their friends house. The friends had made boats and were floating them.

Obviously our girls wanted to 'make a boat.' So we did. I grabbed some wood, cut the shape, drilled the 'mast' hole and the girls sanded it down, colored them and sails.

We glued them together, mounted the sails, let the dry overnight and then the next day filled the wheelbarrel with water and the girls floated their boats! CUTE!!!

Cake Makin

With our birthdays here this past week, the girls wanted to help out making a cake for us. So Doreen and the girls went to the store, picked out a mix and some icing.

They made the cake one day when I was on a trip, then iced it the day I got back and we had a nice dinner and then some yummy cake. Red velvet cake with icing and colorful sprinkles. Wish y'all could have had a taste!

They did a great job!

Double Piggy Back Ride

We've kinda started this new thing lately. After worship we take and put the girls in bed etc, etc.

Well, we're doing this double piggy back thingy and the girls love it! It is a LOT of fun, but I won't be able to do it much longer - they keep getting bigger & bigger, older and older! :(

I'll enjoy it while I can!

Must Be Gettin' Old OR The Mature Person's Eye Chart

Got some nice cards in the mail (Both E-mail & Snail Mail) from friends and family for my birthday. If one of you were one that sent one - thanks.

One that I received, cracked me up! This one folded out in to a full 'poster' with this in it, "The Mature Person's Eye Chart." I got a HUGE kick out of 'reading' it - I hope you do too!!! :)

Growing Family

Back in 2003 (Yup I checked the date on the pic this time - he, he, he) we were on vacation visiting family in Colorado. This day we were at 'church' in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, a beautiful place. I wanted a group photo taken, so we finally got all the kids wrangled and this is what came out.

Just over a month ago, my family came out to TN to visit us. We all had a ball! One thing I wanted again was another group shot - so while we were out and about doing things one day, we happened to be at the Chattanooga Choo Choo and took this group shot. Again we had wrangle the kids, but once we did it - this awesome pic came out of it! What a famliy!
